Penicuik South is a Midlothian based badminton club for advanced players, offering a sociable & competitive environment with league team participation.
Penicuik South is a long-established, competitive and sociable club based in Midlothian. We pride ourselves on maintaining high playing standards, with all games played using feather shuttles. Our members enjoy a mix of competitive & friendly club nights and league competition, and we regularly field teams in the Lothian Mixed, Gents and Ladies leagues.
We are affiliated with Badminton Scotland and welcome advanced-level adult players who are keen to play competitively. Club nights run every Wednesday from late September to late April, with summer sessions available too. We play at our home venue in Penicuik providing 4 courts.
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your game or join a team environment with like-minded players, Penicuik South offers a great place to play.
New members will be offered a trial period before joining.
Club nights run every Wednesday evening at Beeslack Community High School. The club has access to 4 courts.
League nights are run by the Lothian Badminton Group and take place at Meadowbank Sports Centre, Edinburgh
Membership numbers are restricted based on the number of available courts for our club nights to ensure members enjoy an active night of badminton with minimal time spent sitting out.
We have a very limited number of membership spaces available for players of a compatible standard who are willing to play in our league teams.
